My Thanksgiving is Perpetual šš

Thanksgiving was a few days ago, and while I was still stuffing my face with leftovers today, I sat at my table and reflected on why my thanksgiving is perpetual. I started a daily affirmations/gratitude recently that has helped me stop and reflect every morning on my blessings. The true meaning of this holiday should be a reminder that we often have more to be thankful for. While I discover new reasons daily, I have far more to be thankful for than I typically recall. On that note, I will share a few:
First and foremost, I am thankful to have God who loves me, forgives my sins, and blesses me with the gift of life every day!
I am grateful for myself and my life.
I am thankful for my parents, family, and friends.
I am grateful for prayers passed down through my family and my council of mothers.
I am thankful for a roof over my head.
I am grateful to be healthy - my health is my wealth.
I am thankful for the opportunity to wake up every day and make it whatever I want it to be.
I am grateful for scented candles; yes, I said it!
I am thankful for retail therapy. YES!!!
I am grateful for culinary therapy, most definitely. š
I am thankful for my education and my career.
I am grateful to be loved.
I am thankful for my open heart, which allows me to welcome loved ones and refuse to let them go.
I am grateful for those who make me laugh when things are tough.
I am thankful for the daily meals on my table.
I am grateful for the clothes on my back.
I am thankful for technology and connectivity.
I am grateful for opportunities.
I am thankful for my talents.
I am grateful for my daily stressors - they are my lessons or my reasons to appreciate the next day.
I am thankful to have humor.
I am grateful for my tears - They allow me to know what mourning, pain, and sadness feel like to tell me that I have experienced happiness before.
I am thankful for life lessons that help me grow.
I am grateful for the gift of travel - where I get to see the world, create memories, and learn new experiences - making life more exciting.
I am grateful for positive stress because it motivates me to improve my life priorities and develop my sense of purpose and meaning.
I am grateful for the small things in my life.
I am thankful that I can be of service to others.
I am grateful for peace.
⦠and so much more
Although Thanksgiving is a single day to give thanks, developing the habit of appreciating the little things every day is beneficial because it gives us complete control over our lives. Don't put off daily gratitude and/or thankfulness; it could be the key to your next breakthrough!
